HP PC Part Exchange offer – Terms and Conditions
- The PC Part exchange promotion is valid on new purchases made during the promotional period - 1st August 2010 to 31st October 2010.
- The promotion is open to residents of mainland UK, including Northern Ireland only. This offer is not open to employees of Hewlett Packard (HP), their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion.
- Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers.
- Claims must be submitted online and received by us with a copy of the invoice within 30 days of the purchase date.
- The instructions contained within the promotional website and the published process form part of the terms and conditions of the offer.
- We reserve the right to closely monitor usage of the promotional website, including users IP addresses, so that we may identify misuse, and disqualify applications if we have reason to believe the terms of the promotion have been breached.
- After requesting a part-exchange valuation it is not compulsory for you to take up the price offered, and you can still proceed with the purchase of your new Hewlett-Packard computer.
- This promotion is only open and applicable to the purchase of specific qualifying products and therefore shown on the product purchase invoice. One part exchange per qualifying product purchased only will be accepted.
- The offer is not transferrable to another individual or business, claims will only be accepted by the original purchaser.
- If a claim is refused, because the Terms of the offer have not been met, the promoter's decision is final. Hewlett-Packard reserve the right to withdraw the promotion without notice.
- In order to qualify, you must submit your application within 30 days of purchasing your product, by submitting an application you agree to these terms in their entirety.
- The closing date for applications is 30.11.10. Any applications received after this date will be deemed invalid.
- For your computer to qualify as “working” it must be fully operational:
- Power on and have a working processor.
- All accessories eg battery, mains adapter and lead, must be fully operational.
- Desktops must be accompanied by all original accessories, including; leads, keyboard and mouse.
- Must be undamaged (reasonable wear & tear accepted)
- To qualify for the promotion you must send the following:
- A completed claim form.
- A copy of your purchase invoice clearly detailing the purchase of your product and dated within the promotional period - despatch notes etc are
not acceptable.
- Applications will be screened for validity to ensure that the transaction made is a bona fide purchase of the qualifying product.
- Your proof of purchase will not be posted back to you - please do not send the original.
- The computer you wish to part-exchange, along with the original accessories, including mains adapter/lead.
- If any of the items required to make your computer fully operational are missing from the valuation, you will receive a revised valuation by email.
- Deletion of all confidential data and information, which are in each case subject to applicable data protection legislation, and are possibly stored on the PC to be exchanged is the responsibility of the customer. Prior to sending the part exchange computer, it is the customers responsibility to delete data from the hard drive and any other storage media in the product and remove any removable storage media, for example; floppy disks, CDs or PC cards. The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost or confidential data and software. Upon receipt of the computer to be part exchanged all data will be destroyed. Please note we are unable to retrieve any customer data once a computer has been received.
- Provided that the terms and conditions of this promotion have been met, and your part-exchanged computer matches the description you have given, typically payments are made between 30 to 56 days of a validated claim.
- If the part-exchange is not as described a fair revised valuation will be proposed, but if this is not acceptable there will be a cost for returning the part-exchange of £8, payable before its return.
- Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Hewlett-Packard cannot accept liability for any applications lost, damaged or destroyed in the post and recommend using an insured postal service.
- HP is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion.
- Please note we are unable to accept hand delivery.
